Character set 2

Last week I released Set 1 of my "Character" series.  Today it is time for set 2.  Set 2 includes some of my very favorite characters!  This set also includes one of only two picture book characters I am featuring in this series.

As before,  I would love for you to share the pictures but please give me credit, and a link back would be nice.   If you are interested in purchasing a print of your favorite character they are available as 12"x18" prints. Please contact me at Shannon@photographybyshannon.com for ordering information.

Hermione Granger
-J. K. Rowling
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone

Hermione is brilliant, and she backs up her academic talent with studious hard work. She is determined to do her very best in school. Hermione is also loyal and determined.  She cares for the people around her and is always willing to help a friend. She has great time-management skills and her knowledge, wisdom, and cleverness saves her life and those of her friends many times.

Princess Elizabeth
-Robert Munsch
The Paperbag Princess

Princess Elizabeth is brave, resourceful, smart, and resilient.  When her prince is carried off by a dragon, she has no problem setting off to rescue him.  She makes use of the resources available to her, and outsmarts the dragon. She’s happy to have a prince by her side, but he’d better realize that she’s not a damsel in distress. She knows her own mind and isn’t going to let someone else’s opinion of her looks get her down.

Mary Lennox
-Frances Hodgson Burnett
The Secret Garden

Through the magic of the garden, and by finding people to care for who care for her, Mary blossoms into a determined, caring girl. Like the plants she cares for and brings back to life, Mary helps her cousin, Colin, to gain strength in both body and mind. Physical exercise, hard work, and a bit of love and magic help Mary to grow into the strong woman she had the potential to be.

Alice
-Lewis Carroll
Alice's Adventures in Wonderland

Alice is curious, imaginative, practical, and courteous to everyone. She finds delight even in the midst of turmoil and strange events and she is very well-spoken for someone her age.  She also is willing to try again, even when she fails the first, second, or even third time.
