Entry for December 28, 2008

Merry Christmas everyone!

I had a fabulous Christmas vacation.  Both of my sisters came into town for the Holiday so my whole immediate family was here to celebrate.  It was great to get together and see everyone!  We took advantage of our togetherness to do a family photo shoot.  My little sister is going off to film school in New Zealand for a year next month so this was our last chance for a while.  Luckily everyone cooperated, even the men and 2 month old Jonas!  I am so happy that we could capture these memories for my Mom, this is the only thing she asked me to get her for Christmas.

Behold, the Roggio - Kugler - Carlson Clan!

Entry for December 14, 2008

I totally spaced on posting last week! Ooops!  This week I will make up for it with a ton of pictures.  To start us off, this past week we had the biggest, brightest moon in 15 years.  On Friday Night the moon appeared 14% bigger and 30% brighter than normal.  I have always wanted to take a picture of the moon but could never find the motivation when it was out and full.  Since Friday was a special occasion for the moon I decided to give it a shot.  It was COLD, but fun and I got a great shot of the moon.

I also had a little photo shoot with Ella recently.  She was a wonderful model and was very into trying different stuff with her arms and face.  She was so fun to watch and shoot!

My last session for Christmas in November was with the S family.  They have 6 awesome well behaved kids.  Poor “A” is the only girl, but she keeps her own among the boys.  I am going to post a ton of pictures, since there are so many people to show off.  Mom and Dad are awesome, and I had so much fun photographing the kids.  They all picked out their own outfits, and definitely managed to infuse their personality into each of the shots.  It was a great and wonderful November; I am looking forward to a little break in December.  Happy Holidays everyone!

Entry for December 1, 2008

Thanksgiving was a blast!  I hope you all had a great one too.  We spent Thanksgiving Day with my parents and then for the weekend we all drove to Atlanta for my Nephew’s baby blessing at church.  My Ella is in LOVE with her cousin Jonas, she constantly wanted to be holding and cuddling him.  IT was so cute!  I hope this means good things for when her very own baby brother arrives!

The E family was so fun!  We started out in studio for some formal Christmas shots and then went outside to play.  We got really lucky with the weather and it was nice and warm and sunny outside.  You can really tell that this family loves each other very much!  The children are amazingly well behaved and seem to really get along too, which wasn’t something you could say about me and my siblings at that age!  Thank you E family, for letting me capture your vibrant fabulous family.

I also had a chance to photograph a returning baby.  Little “C” is now 6 months old.  We last saw him as a newborn and boy has he grown!  He looks just like his big brother, and was in such a good mood, especially since he skipped his morning nap.  We did some bath time pictures to compliment some his big brother had taken at the same age.  We also got some beautiful shots of his baby blues.  “C” is as awesome baby and I was so happy to see him again!
